It is our goal to build a tool that supports this movement and enables women to walk, talk, and solve problems together. Your continued feedback, care, and patience are essential as we work together to perfect this tool for our growing sisterhood. Every note, suggestion, and observation helps us build an app that truly reflects and serves our community.

We know some of you have experienced issues with the app this past week due to the AWS crash that impacted many platforms nationwide. Thank you for your patience and grace as our team worked around the clock to stabilize everything.

Our tech team is diligently addressing issues and has pushed new features and critical fixes to enhance your experience.

We understand that some members lost walk data over the last few weeks. We know how much effort, pride, and sisterhood is represented in each of those miles, and we’re truly sorry this happened.

Our developers are putting new safeguards in place to prevent this from happening in the future. But we also want to remind everyone that leaderboards reset each month, and that GirlTREK has always been about more than numbers. Every step taken is a declaration of healing, of joy, of community. It’s not about the miles tracked, it’s about the miles walked — together — even when technology falls short.

What’s New

• Add Multiple Crew Leaders
  You can now share leadership. Add up to three additional Crew Leaders to help manage your crew and plan walks.

  A smoother, more inspiring welcome for new members joining your crew.

Crew Leader Resources

If you are one of the incredible women who have recently stepped up to lead, we are grateful. Your leadership is helping women across the country walk, heal, and connect. Together, you’re building the foundation of this movement one sacred step at a time.

We want to make sure you have everything you need to lead with confidence. Here are key resources to support your role:

Find and Update Your Crew

1. Go into the app and log in.

2. Tap on Crew in the bottom menu.

3. Click on the My Crews tab located under Search Crews to review the crews you lead.

4. Click on the crew assigned to you.

5. Once on the Crew page, click the three dots in the top right.

6. Select Edit.

7. Add a photo that represents your crew.

8. Add a description—share where you walk, who you represent, what you’re about, and what your crew is working to solve in your state. Important: Do not change the name of your crew if you are leading a GirlTREK-created regional crew.

9. Hit Done.

To help others find your crew:

• They can search for it in the bar at the top of the Crews section.

• Crews also appear when members search nearby.
