Why Black Women Belong at the Menopause Table

It's time to break the silence and change the narrative.

MPowered Menopause

Lauren Jones and Erica Phillips are the co-founders of MPowered Menopause, an organization dedicated to closing the research and representation gap for Black women navigating menopause.

Black women experience hot flashes and night sweats for a median of 10.1 years — longer than any other racial group studied. Yet our experiences remain underrepresented in the research, resources, and conversations shaping menopause care. (NIH)

We know silence does not protect us. Information does. Sisterhood does. Honest conversations about our bodies do.

Join the Care Village community and the founders of MPowered Menopause for an unfiltered fireside chat about what Black women experience during menopause and how we can advocate for the care we deserve.

In this fireside chat, we're diving into:

• Our Stories: The personal experiences and systemic gaps that inspired MPowered Menopause.
• Research & Representation: Why Black women's representation in research matters.
• Reclaiming the Narrative: How to move from suffering in silence to advocating for ourselves.
• Passing It On: What we must teach the next generation before they reach this season.
