This Juneteenth, We Walk Together
One Walk.
Across cities, neighborhoods, and generations.

,

For generations, walking has been part of the Black freedom story. Our ancestors walked to gather, to organize, to worship, to resist, to escape, and to build community in the face of impossible odds. Long before walking became exercise, it was a declaration of dignity, movement, and possibility. This weekend, we invite you to honor that legacy.

Whether it’s a quiet morning stroll before the day begins, a walk after a meal with family and friends, an evening conversation with someone you’ve been meaning to call, or a walk through one of the many Juneteenth celebrations happening across the country, we hope you’ll make space to move your body and nourish your spirit. Consider it a moment to reflect, reconnect, and remember that freedom has always been something we practice together.

This Weekend
This Weekend’s Invitation
1

Wear Your Blue

Your Superhero Blue is more than a shirt. It’s a signal — a way of recognizing one another out in the world, and remembering that wherever you walk this weekend, you’re part of something bigger than yourself.

2

Take Your Walk

Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Walk solo before the day begins, gather family for a stroll after a meal, call someone you’ve been meaning to reconnect with, or take a walk through one of the many Juneteenth celebrations happening across the country.

3

Log Your Walk

Record your 30-minute walk in The Underground and earn the 2026 Juneteenth badge — a digital keepsake commemorating this weekend’s walk.

4

Share Your Freedom Portrait

Post a photo from your walk in the GirlTREK Global Crew — a selfie, a favorite view, your family, your community, or any moment that captures what freedom looked like for you this weekend.

Together, we’ll create a living portrait of what freedom looks like when we choose to honor it — not just in memory, but in motion.

In celebration of Juneteenth, a random selection of sisters who share their Freedom Portraits will receive a special delivery from GirlTREK.
