If your spirit feels stretched thin, if the world feels unsteady— you are not alone.
This week, GirlTREK is offering three ways to care for yourself, your family, and your community: a care response, a prayer response, and a legacy response.
Last night in Montgomery, members of GirlTREK’s Blue Brigade led a Community Care Response for neighbors still healing from a mass shooting that happened early
last week.
The Blue Brigade is a new network of GirlTREK organizers trained in Mental Health First Aid—Black women equipped to hold space, listen deeply, and respond to the needs of their communities. They are led by Renata, our Director of Programs, and Tara, our Director of Place-Based Innovation.
We know that people are in the midst of grief and uncertainty, from Seattle to South Carolina to Mississippi, where communities have been besieged by violence.
If your community needs a space to process what’s happening, GirlTREK can help hold that space with you.
As all this unfolds, the next generation is already rising.
This weekend, Hailey from our national team stood with the NAACP in Texas—calling young women to leadership and connection. This week, we continue this outreach.
If you have a daughter, a niece, a little cousin, or a young woman in your life who needs a sense of community, sanctuary, and support, GirlTREK is creating that space for her.
We call them the Legacy Builders - the next generation of women who will carry this torch forward.
Join us this Thursday for the next Legacy Builders Lounge, a sacred space for women ages 18–35 to connect, be poured into, and lead.
